Current Positions

Here we grow again! WV LLP is currenting recruiting for the following roles:

Corporate Legal Assistant

Asset Based Financing Assistant

Articling

Our office hires our articling students through the articling recruitment procedure established by the Law Society of Ontario.

WV LLP applications are now closed for the 2025-2026 articling term.

Student Experience

As an articling student with WV LLP, you can expect a challenging and rewarding articling experience.

Our articling program is different. At WV LLP, you will receive a more hands-on experience. We encourage our students to have direct contact with clients and to attend at court and tribunals. Our students are also given the opportunity to work with senior counsel and observe client meetings, conferences, transactions (from start to finish), mediations, examinations, witness interviews, hearings, trials, and appeals. Our students also have the opportunity to research and draft various documents.

Rotation

Articling is a critical first step in your legal career. We have developed an articling program that will help you grow as a lawyer, and will provide you with a broad and practical experience. As an articling student with WV LLP, you will be rotated through our four practice areas: 1) corporate law; 2) financial services and commercial real estate; 3) tax and estates; and 4) litigation/labour and employment.

Mentoring

As part of our support structure, not only are our students paired with a partner who acts as their principal, they are also paired with other lawyers in each practice area throughout their rotations. We make every effort to assign mentors who, we think, will fit well with the student’s interests and background.

Compensation

As an articling student with WV LLP, you will receive a salary, two weeks’ paid vacation, and a comprehensive benefits package. The salary paid is competitive with that paid by other Toronto-area law firms of comparable size.

Applications

Applications should include a complete resume, covering letter, and copies of your official transcripts from both undergrad and law school. When we consider an applicant for an interview, academic performance is considered very important. However, we also know that academic performance alone cannot predict the best articling student.

Please submit applications to careers@wvllp.ca.
